Looking back - Example 3 Design History Personal Influences

Storm Thorgeson

British graphic designer, photographer and music video director, specialist 1944-2013

I first became aware of Storms's work through buying my first album, Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, followed by Wish you were here. Though it wasn't until I went to college in 1977, that I fully discovered the depth of his work, and that of his contemporaries most notably Roger Dean.

His work had a huge impression on me, and laid the foundations for a journey of Illustrative and design discovery over the next 4 years at Art College.
